I was a long time Harlem resident east and west side.
In the tobacco and alcohol days of my younger years I had some incredible experiences in the streets of Harlem bike riding, socializing with women, weed smoking and such things one does before being a parent and home owner.
I also have some great stories of the less than 20 times I went to the Lenox lounge for a drink and to people watch but, those stories are for another time.

Fun fact: I drew the sketch of then famed Lenox lounge from a photograph I found online it took me forever, and I used a ruler and many of the lines are still crooked.
However, much like it's creator; it has character.
I've said and published many times, that the only thing I have ever mastered was imperfection.
